It’s been a while since my last post. I haven’t been writing for Trendy Palermo Viejo either until recently. But I have been taking lots of pictures so I’ll be posting again about different subjects.
To begin with, let me share with you a weird event I’ve been to yesterday.
The occasion was the Buenos Aires Zombie Walk which is organized every year in many cities of the world.
It was fun participating as a photographer. The situation was pretty bizarre. Imagine characters like the ones from the Michael Jackson’s video clip “Thriller” walking through the streets of Buenos Aires. Yes, there were dozens of young people dressed and wearing make up (some were really professional) as zombies walking from the San Martín Square to the obelisk, along Florida and Lavalle Streets, scaring people who passed by or making them laugh. Even more bizarre was the bunch of photographers (including me) walking with them and having fun while we took their pictures. Here’s the result. It was definitely a different afternoon in BA for tourists who stumbled upon the zombies. Ah, if you see blood on the floor, from Plaza San Martín, Florida, Lavalle or near the obelisk, don’t get worried. It’s just some tomato juice or strawberry jam.

Pasó bastante tiempo desde mi último post. Tampoco estuve escribiendo en Trendy Palermo Viejo hasta recientemente. Pero estuve sacando muchas fotos así que ahora estaré posteando sobre diferentes temas.
Para empezar, déjenme compartir con Uds. un evento un tanto extraño del cual participé ayer como fotógrafa. Se realizó el Buenos Aires Zombie Walk, que se organiza desde hace varios años en muchas ciudades del mundo. Fue muy divertido y bizarro. Imagínense encontrarse con personajes salidos del video clip de Michael Jackson “Thriller”, deambulando por las calles de Bs.As. Eran decenas de jóvenes disfrazados y maquillados (algunos muy profesionales) como zombies caminando por la calle, desde plaza San Martín, pasando por Florida y Lavalle hasta el obelisco, y asustando a la gente que pasaba o haciéndola reír. Más bizarro aún fue ver a los fotógrafos (yo incluida) caminando con ellos y divirtiéndonos mientras les sacábamos fotos. Aquí está el resultado. Fue sin dudas una tarde diferente para los turistas que paseaban por el microcentro porteño ayer. Ah, si ven rastros de sangre por la zona, no se preocupen, es sólo mermelada de frutilla o jugo de tomate.
