After visiting La Boca with my Flickr friends this morning, we took the 152 bus until Lezama Park. We passed by the Russian Orthodox Church (built in 1904 based on Muscovite style of the 17th century) and had lunch at the Bar Británico (one of the most traditional cafés of Buenos Aires). Actually, it was named after the English immigrants who settled down in the area at the time of the railway construction. We continue strolling along Caseros Ave. Then, we returned to Defensa St. and walked towards San Juan Ave., where we turned to the right and continued until Puerto Madero. I’ll be uploading the pictures of Puerto Madero in another post.

Luego de visitar La Boca con mis amigos de Flickr esta mañana, tomamos el colectivo 152 hasta Parque Lezama. Pasamos por la Iglesia Ortodoxa Rusa, construida en 1904 con estilo moscovita del siglo XVII. Almorzamos en el Bar Británico, uno de los cafés más tradicionales de Buenos Aires (de hecho, su nombre es un homenaje a los inmigrantes ingleses que se establecieron en el área en la época de la construcción de los ferrocarriles). Seguimos caminando un par de cuadras por Avenida Caseros. Luego, regresamos por Defensa hasta Avenida San Juan. Allí, doblamos hacia la derecha y seguimos nuestro recorrido hasta Puerto Madero.
