Palermo woods and the rose garden / Bosques de Palermo y rosedal

Photos taken at the rose garden a few days ago. Roses are not at their best shape at this time of the year… Anyway, it’s a beautiful green area to relax or exercise. I particularly like it during the week (less crowded).


Tomé estas fotos en el rosedal hace algunos días. Las rosas no están en su mejor momento en esta época del año. De todas formas, es un hermoso espacio verde donde uno puede ir a relajarse o a hacer ejercicio. A mi me gusta preferentemente durante la semana (no hay multitudes).

Eduardo Sívori Museum / Museo Eduardo Sívori


The Eduardo Sívori Museum is located across the Rosedal (I'll be posting photos soon), in the "Bosques de Palermo" area. It houses more than 3.000 Argentine and Latinamerican artworks from the 19th century until nowadays. It has a garden with sculptures and also offers different art workshops. See also this post.

El Museo Eduardo Sívori está ubicado frente al Rosedal (subiré fotos en breve), en los bosques de Palermo. Alberga más de 3.000 obras de artistas argentinos y latinoamericanos, desde el siglo XIX hasta la actualidad. Cuenta con un jardín con esculturas y ofrece a la comunidad talleres varios de arte. Del Libertador Avenue /Avenida

Del Libertador is one of the most beautiful avenues of Buenos Aires. I particularly recommend walking it from the Zoo until Recoleta. It’s about less than an hour walk at normal pace and with no stops. Along this stroll, you’ll notice the Museo de Arte Popular José Hernández, the National Museum of Decorative Arts, some Art Deco buildings, the National Library and a monument to Evita, among other special highlights. I’ll be posting more about these in the future.

La Avenida del Libertador es una de las más bellas de Buenos Aires. Recomiendo recorrerla desde el Zoológico hasta Recoleta. Es una caminata de menos de una hora a ritmo normal y sin paradas. A lo largo de esta caminata observarán el Museo de Arte Popular José Hernández, el Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas, algunos edificios art decó, la Biblioteca Nacional y el monumento a Evita, entre otros puntos destacados. Escribiré sobre ellos más adelante.
